A Coventry Way 50
A Coventry Way 50 is a new 50 mile countryside route that encircles the city of Coventry, organised by LDWA Heart of England. The event takes place on 24 and 25 April 2027.
The route is based on the original 40 mile challenge and adds points of interest such as castles, manors and outlying villages. Diversions caused by expanding urbanisation, HS2 works, housing developments and pipeline constructions made it impossible to keep the distance at 40 miles. The revised 50 mile route provides greater flexibility and more path options when enforced path closures occur.
Headquarters are at the Heart of England Social Club, Berkswell Road, Meriden, CV7 7LB (GR SP 244 818).
Entries open 1 November 2026 and close 9 April 2027. Entry fees are listed as LDWA member £30 and non member £40. The minimum age is 18. The entry package includes a satellite tracker, a certificate and a badge, and food and drinks at headquarters and at six indoor checkpoints. Commemorative technical T shirts are available to purchase on completion for £10 payable by cash or card. The event also serves as a late qualifier for LDWA Jurassic 100 2027 or an early qualifier for LDWA Millstone 100 2028. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
