A Coventry Way Challenge

A Coventry Way Challenge is a one-day circular long-distance event held on Sunday 26 April 2026, starting and finishing at the Heart of England Social Club in Meriden, CV7 7LB. The official route is 40 miles long; for 2026 the route is 41.4 miles because of deviations from the definitive line. The majority of the route is off-road and passes through mainly agricultural land in Warwickshire and Solihull.

The event admits individual walkers and runners, and relay teams of up to six members. All relay team members' details must be submitted, and changeovers are expected to take place at the route checkpoints. There are five reasonably evenly spaced checkpoints that provide cold drinks and a selection of sweet and savoury food, and all participants receive a hot meal at the finish.

Each entrant or team is issued with a tracker device to help organisers manage the event and to allow supporters to monitor progress in real time. Entrants receive a laminated number card for identification and timing purposes. Entry is restricted to adults aged 18 or over on the day; younger entrants have specified accompaniment or membership conditions and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Entries are limited to 250 places. Entries open 1 November 2025 and close in early April 2026 or when the limit is reached. Entry fees listed for the event are Solo £24.00 and Relay £48.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
