Event overview
A Coventry Way Challenge takes place on Sunday 26 April 2026. The event starts and finishes at the Heart of England Social Club, Berkswell Road, Meriden, CV7 7LB. It is organised by the A Coventry Way Association and is held annually. Entries open 1 November 2025. Entry is limited to 250 places. Entry fees listed are £24.00 for a solo entrant and £48.00 per relay team. The event is open to individual walkers and runners aged 18 or over on the day. Younger entrants must be members of the LDWA or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; under 16s must be accompanied at all times.
Route and support
The route follows the officially recognised long distance path that circumnavigates the city of Coventry. The majority of the route is off-road and passes through mainly agricultural land in Warwickshire and Solihull. The aim is to complete the whole circular route in a day. Participants are issued with a tracker device and must return it at the finish or at a checkpoint if retiring. There are five checkpoints providing food and cold drinks; all entrants receive a hot meal at the finish and a certificate on completion. Relay teams may have up to six members, all team members’ details must be entered, and relay changeovers should take place at a checkpoint. The event booklet (the "Green Book") will not be available this year; route details are on the event website. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
