Event overview
A Coventry Way Challenge is an annual walk and run that follows the circular long-distance path around the city of Coventry. The route is approximately 40 miles long and is listed as 41.4 miles for 2026 due to temporary deviations. The majority of the route is off-road and passes through mainly agricultural land in Warwickshire and Solihull. The event starts and finishes at the Heart of England Social Club in Meriden.
The event is open to individual walkers and runners, and to relay teams of up to six members. Each entrant or team is issued a tracker device for event management. Food and drinks are provided at five checkpoints and a hot meal is provided at the finish. The event is assisted and supported by the Long Distance Walkers’ Association Heart of England local group.

- Breach Oak Lane - 35.0 miles
- Relay changeovers are expected to take place at a checkpoint. All relay team members’ details must be entered.
- Entrants receive a laminated entrant number card to obtain the tracker and present at checkpoints and the finish.
- Entries are limited to 250. Entry fees listed are £24.00 for solo and £48.00 per relay team.
