5 Peaks - Alice Lake
Event overview
The race is the first stop in the 5 Peaks British Columbia Trail Running Series and is scheduled for April 4th at Alice Lake Provincial Park. The race starts and finishes at the lakeside and is organized as multiple timed and non-timed divisions. Packet pickup is available the day before and on race day.
Course and distances
The course circumnavigates the group of Four Lakes, often touching the shoreline and weaving through forested terrain. The route uses double-track and single-track trails and passes Alice Lake, Lost Lake, Fawn Lake, and Edith Lake, then follows Hop Creek and Mashiter Creek. The Enduro route climbs to the Rupert Trail area and descends technical single track through sections named 50 Shades of Green and Tazers.

Logistics and rules
Participants must park at the designated Black Bear Road parking area and will be transported to the start by event shuttle service. The event is cup-free: there are no disposable cups on course; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start/finish and at aid stations, and participants planning to be out for longer than an hour should carry a reusable receptacle. Prohibited on course are dogs, headphones, strollers or child carriers, and nordic poles except in the non-competitive hiking division. The hiking division is non-competitive, led by pace leaders, and requires walking only; estimated finish times are about 2 hours for the Sport course and about 3 hours for the Enduro. Optional swag and sustainably sourced wooden finisher medals are available for purchase, and age-group and overall awards are presented to top finishers and must be picked up at the race. A tent for post-race drop bags will be available; valuables should not be left in bags. Music amplification is not allowed in the park.
