ZigZag - The Lucky Horseshoe
The event takes place on Saturday 19 September 2026 at the Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. It is a trail event with multiple distance options and an out and back format that encourages interaction between participants.
Distances offered include:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
The marathon is one full loop on an out and back course; the other distances use turnaround points. The half and full use the Gallops Route while the 5k and 10k use Golding Hills. The route passes toward Newmarket and may provide views of race horses in training.
Support and logistics include an aid station supplying drinks and nibbles approximately every 10 km, a Race HQ Base Camp at the start and lap point with water and aid, and parking included in the entry price. The event operates a seven hour cut off. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refills.
Additional details: entry closes 18 September 2026, transfers close 12 September 2026, maximum entrants are 300, and the minimum age is 18 years.
