ZigZag - 2027 Birthday Run
The event takes place on Sunday 16 May 2027 at Brandon Country Park, Bury Road, Brandon, Suffolk, in the heart of Thetford Forest.
The format offers timed options of either a 6 hour event or a 4 hour event. Competitors run repeated laps of a 5.3 km course that follows gravel footpaths and some grass areas through the forest. The course is multi-terrain and undulating. Participants may rest between laps and are allowed to continue as long as they meet the event cut-off rules.
Race HQ and Base Camp are located at the start and lap point. There is a water and aid station each lap. Marshals will direct parking on the day and parking at the park is chargeable. A baggage area is provided but items are left at the owner’s risk; vehicles are likely to be passed on some laps.
There are event-specific and non-specific finisher medal options, including a bespoke event medal and lucky dip finishers medals. Virtual entries are available for those who want a medal but cannot attend in person. The event limits entries to 300 participants, entries close 14 May 2027, and the minimum age is 18 years.
