Zig Zag Challenge - High Lodge, Thetford Forest
The event takes place at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, IP27 0AF. Runners complete laps of a forest circuit that is reported as around 5.3–5.4 km per lap, mostly off-road with minimal climb (about 12 m per lap). The surface is mainly woodland trails and pathways.

Laps stack for longer distances so one lap equals the 5k format and multiple laps create the longer events. A heavy half is set at five laps by default with the option to increase on the day; the ultra is set at nine laps by default with options to extend depending on time available. There is a six hour event cut off and a four hour cut off for later starts.
Facilities are based adjacent to Oak Lodge where registration takes place and complimentary tea, coffee and cake are provided after the race. A water aid station is located at the lap point. Parking is available on the day at a discounted £5 rate for participants with a QR code. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own cup or bottle.
Twenty percent of the entry fee is allocated to forest upkeep. Entries close 48 hours before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
