Yippee-Ki-Yay Races : Council Bluffs, Iowa
The Yippee-Ki-Yay Races on October 24, 2026 include three distances run on the Historic Wabash Trace Nature Trail. The course is a rails-to-trails route with a fine crushed limestone surface and is run as out-and-back routes that start and finish at the Iowa West Foundation Trail Head Park.

Event logistics note a field limit of 200 runners with allocated spots of 50 for the 50K, 100 for the Half Marathon, and 50 for the 10K. Each race is chip timed and a 9 hour course time limit applies to the 50K. Trail conditions for the 50K are listed as about 90% rail trail and 10% pavement.
Aid stations provide water, Honey Stinger sports drink, Honey Stinger gels, and after 10 miles Ultra Food for 50K runners. Participants receive a finisher medal and a long sleeve lightweight race hoodie; the hoodie order deadline is October 1. Packet pickup is scheduled for October 22 and October 23 with Friday pickup at Dick's Sporting Goods, 3816 Metro Dr, Council Bluffs, 3–7 pm. There is no race day packet pickup.
A portion of each entry fee will be donated to the Wabash Trace Nature Trail. There are no refunds or transfers. A drop-down option allows registered 50K runners to switch to the Half Marathon but removes award eligibility. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
