About the race
The Wyoming Range 100-Mile Endurance Run is a supported ultra marathon held on August 6, 2027, at Box Y Ranch, Wyoming. The event follows the Wyoming Range National Recreation Trail and centers on a route that uses much of the WRNRT, a north-south corridor of roughly 75 miles through high country.
The course covers 100 mile with about 24,000 feet of climbing and an average elevation near 8,600 feet. Runners should expect long stretches between aid stations, rough trail that may require way-finding, and exposure to high mountain weather such as snow, lightning, and white-out conditions. The race takes place in grizzly country; carrying bear spray is required.
Entrants must complete at least eight hours of trail work or wildlife habitat restoration at least two weeks before race day, or alternatively donate $80 to Friends of the Bridger-Teton and submit a receipt. The event is likely to be capped at 100 runners and will use a lottery for entry that opens February 1, 2027.
Required gear includes a Garmin GPS device for live tracking and bear spray; rental options are offered for participants who cannot supply these items. The race is organized by Everlong Endurance and serves as a Hardrock qualifier. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
