Womp Romp, October 24, 2026

Womp Romp is a trail running event at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA. The event offers two distances on a looped course that combines single track, wide trails, and paved sections. Each loop contains about two miles of pavement and sections that are likely to be muddy.

Distances:

  • 10 Miler one loop
  • 50K three loops plus one mile

There are three aid stations on the course located at the start/finish area, mile 3.141592 (no bathroom), and mile 6 (bathrooms). Aid stations provide water, NAAK, candy, chips, pickles, fruit, broth, and other donated items. The race operates as a cupless event, so participants should carry their own fluid container. A nine hour cutoff applies to both distances.

Packet pick up is available at the Wompatuck State Park Visitor Center the day before the event and at the race site on race day. Finishers receive event items: a long sleeve technical shirt for those registered by September 20, 2026; 10 Miler finishers receive a patch; 50K finishers receive a finisher mug. Entry fees are listed as $55 for the 10 Miler and $75 for the 50K, and refunds or deferrals are not issued.

The event is organized by volunteers and donates surplus funds to charity partners, including Friends of Wompatuck, Free to Run, and Footprints. The course is marked with flags and arrows. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
