About the race
The Wolf Creek Trail Run is a trail event on Wolf Creek Trail in Poplar Bluff, MO, organized by PB Kiwanis Club and the US Forest Service. The event offers multiple distances and supports fundraising for Kiwanis Bacon Memorial Park.
Available distances include:
- Half Marathon
- 6K
- 1.7 Mile Walk (WTF Walk The Forest)
Entry fees listed for 2027 are $35 for the 6K and 1.7 mile walk and $40 for the half marathon; an additional $5 applies for day of race registration at the trailhead. Fees include a T shirt for all runners and medals for the top two finishers in each 6K age division and top male and female half marathon finishers; every half marathon finisher receives a medal. To be guaranteed a shirt on race day, registration and a shirt size response must be completed by March 17. Shirts and bibs are available for pickup at the north trailhead prior to the event. No refunds.
Course and logistics: the trailhead is about 0.60 mile north of the Highway Patrol Station, off the outer road on Forestry Road 3107 (also labeled County Road 429 on some maps). Water stations will be at the north and south Wolf Creek road crossovers; small bottles may be placed at the Wolf Creek Trail and Crooked Branch Trail intersection. Course maps are provided on the event page and on trail mapping resources. Time limits apply: the half marathon must be completed within 3 hours 15 minutes and the 6K within 1 hour. If entering as a walker, the 1.7 mile WTF is the designated option. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
