Wirral Way 5-Miler - Sunday 18 October 2026
The Wirral Way 5-Miler is a 5 mile out and back race held along the Wirral Way, a pathway formed from an old railway line. The course is described as flat and fast with gravel underfoot and offers views across the Dee Estuary toward Wales. The route starts at Thurstaston and heads toward West Kirby.
The event is organised by Race Wirral and takes place at Station Road, Thurstaston, Wirral CH61 0HN. The race is chip timed via Nifty Entries. On-site facilities at the start and finish include toilets and parking. There is a water station on the course and water at the finish. Number collection takes place on the day at the event tent. All participants receive a bespoke Race Wirral Wirral Way medal and a goody bag.
Entry is open to ages 12 to 89 on the event date. Young participants under 18 and vulnerable participants must be supervised by a legal parent or guardian while on the course. The standard entry fee is £25 with an additional booking fee of 6 percent. Refunds are not accepted; transfers are allowed.
