Wirral Way 5 Miler
The Wirral Way 5 Miler takes place on 18 October 2026 along the Wirral Way between Thurstaston and West Kirby. The course follows a former railway line and is described as flat and fast with a gravel surface. Runners pass views over the Dee Estuary towards Wales.
The route is an out and back format, beginning at Station Road in Thurstaston and heading toward West Kirby. The event uses chip timing provided by Nifty Entries.
On-site facilities include toilets at the start and finish, a water station on the course and additional water at the finish, and parking at the venue. Numbers are collected on the day from the event tent. All finishers receive a bespoke RaceWirral/Wirral Way medal and a goody bag.
Entry is open to those aged 12 to 89 on the event date. The listed entry fee for the 5 Miler is £25 with a booking fee of 6 percent. Refunds are not accepted, but transfers are allowed.
