The event is a 5 mile out-and-back road race held along the Wirral Way, a pathway created from an old railway line. The course is described as flat with gravel underfoot and runs from Thurstaston toward West Kirby, offering views over the Dee Estuary to Wales and sections that are sheltered from the elements.
