Winter Thorn Trail Race
Winter Thorn Trail Race is a trail event and fundraiser for Findley State Park held at the Thorn Trailhead in Findley State Park, 58 North State Street, Wellington, Ohio 44090. The event features a single-lap course of 10.5 mile that follows the Thorn Mountain Bike Trail and is described as single-track, technical terrain.
The event is open to both runners and hikers. There is a 3-hour course limit. A midway aid station near mile 5 is located at the campsite and provides water and basic fuel and hydration.
Registration pricing is published in advance: an early-bird price of $45 is available through September 1st, and a standard price of $55 begins September 2nd. Course marking occurs the day before the main event and volunteers may be able to earn an entry through pre-race work.
Post-event provisions include a warm post-race meal of pancakes and sausage served at the finish, custom finisher medals for all finishers, commemorative giveaway mugs with the event logo, and official event hoodies available for purchase during registration.
