The Winter Spartan Death Race is a multi-day endurance event held at Riverside Farm, 105 Tweed River Dr., Pittsfield, Vermont. The format is intentionally unpredictable: participants may not know exactly when the race starts or when it ends.
Racers navigate snow-covered trails and challenging terrain in winter conditions. The course includes a sequence of physical obstacles such as climbing, crawling, and heavy carries, alongside problem-solving tasks described as mind-bending. Some efforts and activities can extend to and beyond 40 hours.
Entry to the event requires an application phase. Organizers state that excellent physical condition and prior endurance experience are required to move into the application process.
