Windsor & Eton 10km
The Windsor & Eton 10 km is a multi-terrain road and trail race based at the Windsor & Eton Brewery in the town of Windsor, close to the River Thames. The route is largely flat and uses towpaths, footpaths and some short sections of road, with approximately 50% off-road terrain and 33 m of elevation gain. The start and finish are located about 150 yards from the brewery taproom in the Thameside park of Baths Island.
The event operates staggered starts at two minute intervals and is a cupless event with one on-course water refill station. The minimum age for entry is 16 and a two hour cut off is applied, allowing for walking pace. Race instructions are distributed by email and posted online before the event.
Entries are priced at £31 to £33, with the first 100 entries offered a 10% discount. Entries close on March 3rd if capacity is not reached earlier. Included with entry are a medal, chip timing, downloadable race photos, prizes, toilets, bag drop, access to the water refill station and a pint cup plus a free drink at the finish; the free drink can be an alcoholic pint or a regular soft drink.
