About the race
WhyWeRun Wales is a five day, 250 km ultra challenge along the Welsh coast held from 13 to 19 September 2027. The event takes place at Celtic Camping, Pwll Caerog Farm, St Davids, Haverfordwest, United Kingdom (SA62 6DG) and is organised by WhyWeRun.
The route runs along coastal trails, beaches and Pembrokeshire countryside. The format emphasises a small supportive community rather than racing; there are no podiums and no official cut offs. Participants travel the distance together with mutual support from the first kilometre to the finish.
There are three entry options. A Fundraising Entry requires a pledge to raise a minimum of £500 for bigmoose charity; the event listing gives an entry only price of £750.00 plus a £33.25 booking fee. A Non-Fundraising Entry does not require fundraising but notes that £500 of the entry fee will be donated directly to bigmoose charity; the listing gives a price of £1,250.00 plus a £55.25 booking fee. A Team Fundraising Entry requires teams of four, with each team member pledging to raise a minimum of £500; the listing shows a team entry price of £700.00 plus a £31.05 booking fee.
Entry fees are described as non-refundable. The organiser’s full cancellation, deferral and transfer terms are stated in the WhyWeRun terms and conditions. An instalment plan is available subject to organiser limits and an additional fee of 1% plus £0.50 per instalment; missed payments may lead to removal from the event and loss of monies paid.
