About the race
The White Pine 50 Backcountry Run is a looped 50 Miler trail race on August 14, 2027, in Garden City, Utah. The course runs through Upper Logan Canyon and begins and ends at Beaver Mountain Ski Area. Portions of the route follow sections of the Bear 100 course.
A course map and elevation profile are available and a GPS file can be exported from the map viewer. A Runner’s Guide provides the full course description and specific notes about course marking and hydration along the route.
The event is designated a Bear Tag race; past Bear Tag arrangements have offered automatic entry into the Bear 100 for top finishers. The race also features a Fish Slap prize category for participants who combine fishing with running. The White Pine event is part of a local series that awards the fastest female and male finishers across Logan Peak, White Pine and The Bear.
Registration opens November 1, 2026 at 8:00 AM Mountain Time. The organizer’s stated refund policy replaces rollovers with refunds when a waitlist replacement is available; the fee collected by the registration platform is non refundable and refunds may take additional processing time.
Camping options include paid camping at Beaver Mountain with limited tent sites, parking lot car and RV camping and open showers and toilets. Dispersed and USFS campground options exist nearby, and local lodging is available in the area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
