Whaley Waltz Fell Race
Whaley Waltz is a fell race held on 26 June 2027 and organised by Goyt Valley Striders. The course is 5.8 miles long with about 274 m of ascent and is classified as category BS, PM. Entry is for adults only; entrants must be aged 18 or over on the event date.
The race starts along the main road in Whaley Bridge. Registration and the finish are at Whaley Bridge Bowling Club, 43 Buxton Road, SK23 7HX, a short walk from the start. Race numbers are collected on the day.
Entry is available online with a base fee of £12.00 plus a booking charge of £1. The organiser may offer transfers and deferrals up to the stated deadline and operates a waiting list when events sell out. Refunds are issued only at the organiser’s discretion and booking fees applied by third parties are not refundable. If an event must be cancelled, entries may be transferred to a rescheduled date in the same calendar year or partial refunds considered after contractors have been paid.
As an environmental measure the event offers a £2 drinks voucher redeemable at the bowling club for participants who travel by public transport, walk, cycle, run, car share with three or more occupants, or use an electric vehicle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
