Race The Light at Wendover Woods
Race The Light at Wendover Woods is an evening trail running event held at Wendover Woods, Upper Icknield Way, Wendover, HP22 5NQ. The event raises funds for the Chilterns Neuro Centre, which supports people affected by multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and stroke survivors. The event base is hosted by Forestry England and the race is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UKA rules.
The courses run entirely on trails within Wendover Woods with no road crossings or gates. The route is marked and marshalled throughout and does not require runners to carry a map or GPX. There is a water stop on the 10K at approximately halfway; cups will be provided and bins are available. A shorter, fully accessible 1.5K loop follows an accessible path for wheelchair users and under 12s.
Entry is open subject to age limits: runners must be 12 or older for the 5K and 16 or older for the 10K; under 12s may enter the non-competitive 1.5K. Dogs and canicross are not permitted. The event has a maximum field of 500 runners.
Available race services include chip timing with live results, a finisher medal, medical support, discounted car parking and a bag drop. GPX files are provided for the 10K and 5K routes. The organiser applies a withdrawal credit policy issuing 90% credit for cancellations more than four weeks before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
