About the race
The Watershed 5K is the 11th annual community run held at The Watershed School, 4975 Decathlon Avenue, Fairbanks, AK 99709, near Broadmoor Avenue and the airport. The event features a 5K course that runs through the neighborhood and on the trails around the school. Participants are asked to use the school parking lot.
Proceeds benefit the Watershed School PTSA. Funds support students, teachers, and staff through purchases such as library books used for Battle of the Books, the All-School Ski Day, and teacher appreciation events.
Registration opens 8/18/2026 and closes on 9/26/2026. The listed registration fee is $25. Day-of registration and bib pickup are available. A concurrent All You Can Eat Sourdough Pancake & Sausage Fundraiser for 3rd and 4th grade is held at the school the same day; prices are $8 for adults and $6 for children, and runners with bibs receive a $1 discount.
