Water & Windmill 10 Miler
This guided trail run follows a route along local canals and waterways in the Chilterns, passing reservoirs and Britain’s oldest post windmill. The course runs through fields, over hills and alongside water, offering views towards the Chilterns and from the hilltops. Guides provide navigation so participants do not need to find the route themselves.
The distance is listed as 10 miles with an ascent of 170 m and a difficulty described as some hills. The event includes a run leader, trail running instruction from an experienced guide, and information about the local area and environment. New for 2026 entry includes a finisher’s medal. Participants are grouped by ability and should be able to run 10 km on the road in 90 minutes or less. First time trail runners are welcome.
Location details note Church Farm Cafe, Aldbury, with on-site parking and a 15 minute walk from the nearby rail station. Facilities at the start include a cafe, toilets and bag drop. Dogs are permitted when using cani-cross equipment. Personal insurance and travel are not included. Organisers aim to respond to bookings within one business day and the event requires a minimum group size to go ahead. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
