About the race
Warbird 100 is a trail running event in Hyden, Kentucky held March 19–20, 2027. It includes multiple distances:
- 100 miles
- 50 kilometers (50k)
- Half marathon
The 100-mile course is a large backcountry loop that includes long climbs, steep climbs, technical ups and downs, ridge sections, streams and rivers, gravel roads, and a few short road sections. The route is described as very difficult relative to other hundred mile courses.
The 50k uses a lollipop loop that ties into the 100-mile course and shares the final 20 miles of that route. The half marathon is an out-and-back course with a turnaround token collected at the halfway point.
The event is located in Hyden, Kentucky and spans two days in March 2027. Courses cross a mix of natural trail features and unpaved roads, and runners will encounter varied terrain throughout the routes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
