About the race
The Warandeloop Tilburg is a three day international cross country event held in the Stadsbos013 (Oude Warande) near Tilburg University. It takes place annually at the end of November on the weekend that includes the last Sunday in November. The event draws about 5,000 participants and around 6,000 spectators.
Courses laid out in the park include routes for recreational runners, youth, senior competitors and walking participants. Key course details:
- Recreanten parkoers: blue 5 km, virtually flat over paved and park paths.
- Jeugd cross parkoers: orange 560 m and green about 500 m; orange includes varying height differences.
- Volwassenen cross parkoers: yellow 1875 m, used by most race categories except the youngest classes.
- Wandelen Nordic Walking: three different distances and routes with route descriptions and on route signage; 2.5 km routes are handed out on paper.
The cross courses are composed of multiple laps for various categories. The orange youth lap is used in combination with other colored laps for several age groups.
