Virgin Forest Trail VFUT 2026
The 20th Virgin Forest Trail VFUT takes place from 23 to 25 October. The event aims to raise awareness for the protection of the Virgin Forest of Paranesti and to support the development of sports tourism in the surrounding area.
The programme includes a range of trail races across varied distances and mountain elevation gains. Distances and elevation gains listed by the organisers are:
- Virgin Forest Ultra Trail V.F.U.T: 162.651 m, D+ 6.889 m
- Nature Trail Race N.T.R: 109.695 m, D+ 4.675 m
- Paranesti Path P.P: 46.297 m, D+ 1.930 m
- Nestos Trail N.T: 10.000 m
- Alkimoí Paídes I: 1.200 m for ages 10 to 13
- Alkimoí Paídes II: 2.500 m for ages 14 to 17
- Special V.F.T S.V.F.T: 800 m for athletes with disabilities
