Village Creek 10K/25K Trail Run
The event takes place at Village Creek State Park near Wynne, AR, on a multi-use trail system atop Crowley’s Ridge. The park covers nearly 7,000 acres and includes roughly 26 miles of maintained trails. Distances offered:
- 25K
- 10K
Both courses run through varied natural terrain that includes creeks, mud, leaves, sticks, steep ridgelines, and a rolling pipeline. The 25K is an out-and-back route following trail markers roughly from 13 toward 20 with the turnaround near marker 20. The 10K follows the same route with a turnaround at marker 16 near a picnic table. Aid stations are located at approximate halfway points for both races. The event is cup free; participants must bring their own bottles.
The start and finish are located at the edge of the lower campground, with park bath houses nearby. Camping is available close to the start area and cabins are available up the hill toward Lake Dunn. The 25K has a six hour time limit and a bib check at about the 3 hour 15 minute mark for the 25K turnaround; runners not checked out by that mark will not receive a hot cinnamon roll.
No race day registration is permitted. Registration closes January 21 at 11:59 PM CT. There are no refunds; entries are not transferable to the following year but may be transferred to another person before 01/21/2027. Deadline to guarantee hoodie or shirt is January 14, 2027. 10K entrants receive a 10K shirt only and 25K entrants receive a 25K hoodie only.
