About the race
The Veluwse Ultra Trail (VUT100) is an ultra trail event at Landgoedhotel Stakenberg in Elspeet on the Veluwe, Netherlands. The event offers multiple distances that use two unique 50 km loops that start and finish at the hotel basecamp.
Distances:
- 100 km
- 75 km
- 50 km
The 100 km route is the combination of the two 50 km loops. The 75 km route combines one 25 km section with one 50 km loop. Each time a longer distance returns to basecamp between loops, participants can access their drop bag: 100 km runners have a drop bag halfway, and 75 km runners have a drop bag after 25 km. GPX route files are provided.
Aid stations are available along the route but do not provide disposable cups, so participants must bring a cup or flask. Runners should be self-sufficient for stretches of about 10 to 15 km. Required items include a foldable cup, a fully charged mobile phone, a race vest with at least 1 liter of water or drink, a basic first aid kit, an emergency blanket, a rain jacket, sufficient nutrition, and navigation equipment; a power bank is advised if a phone is used for navigation. Finishers of the ultras receive a UTMB index. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
