About the race
The LOWA Veluwezoom TRAIL & WALK is scheduled for Sunday 11 July 2027 at the Veluwse Poort in Dieren. The event is organised by Cairn Trails & Adventures and traces its origins to 2010, when the first edition had 81 participants on a 53 km Ultra Trail. Since 2017 the event has grown into a two day trailrun festival. Available routes include: - 7 km Trail - 15 km Trail and Walk - 24 km Trail and Walk - 31 km Trail - 62 km Ultra (2 x 31 km) - Stoere Kids Trail 600 m and 1200 m Routes run almost entirely off road and feature single tracks, heath, forest, many climbs and descents, and technical forest paths.
The 7 km route lists about 85 m ascent, the 15 km about 205 m, and the 24 km about 315 m. All routes are 100% marked using the Cairn Adventures marking method and GPX files are available in consultation with terrain managers from the Wednesday evening before the event. Aid stations are placed at set kilometre points per distance and provide drinks only to participants using an ECO cup or foldable cup; food and typical refreshments are offered. Time limits and prize categories apply for specific morning distances; there are no prizes for the afternoon program and the 7 km Trail.
