Taos Ski Valley Up & Over Trail Run Weekend
This weekend of trail races takes place in Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico on July 31 and August 1, 2027. The program includes a full-length mountain 10K, a vertical 1K, a two-race combo, and a kids 1K.
The main event is the 21st Annual Up & Over 10K. The out-and-back course gains 2,612 feet, rising from 9,321' at the base to 11,819' at the high point. The route offers views of Kachina and Wheeler Peaks and finishes with a technical descent through high alpine terrain.
The 4th Annual VerticAL's VertK is a steep vertical 1K up Al's Run. The climb gains 1,497 feet and follows terrain used as a black diamond ski run in winter. This event is open to participants 16 years and older.
The 10k Double Trouble combines the Up & Over 10K on Saturday with VerticAL's VertK on Sunday and is timed across both days, with a prize for the best combined overall male and female.
The Up & Dn Kids Run covers 1K on Pioneer Run. It is open to children 10 and under, will be untimed, awards an overall boy and girl prize, and gives a finisher's medal to all participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
