About the race
The Ultratrail Fränkische Schweiz is a multi-distance trailrunning event in the Fränkische Schweiz region with its 6th edition scheduled for 23 to 24 April 2027 in Ebermannstadt. The organiser will open registration on 6 October 2026. From 2027 the programme expands to include two new distances: a 100 km Ultratrail and a 15 km Shorttrail alongside existing routes.
The event uses natural trails, rocky passages and cave sections across the local Mittelgebirge and the Wiesent valley. Routes include significant elevation gain and varied terrain such as steep ramps, technical singletrails, river crossings and many stair sections; the Longtrail and Ultratrail list several thousand metres of ascent. The event also offers age‑appropriate courses for younger participants in addition to adult distances.
