Ultra X South Africa : 19 to 24 October 2026
Ultra X South Africa is a six day stage race across the Cederberg region of South Africa covering 330 km. The route crosses vineyards, orchards and farmlands, moves through remote gorges and mountain passes, and passes sandstone wilderness and wild valleys. Terrain includes flowing singletrack carved by local farmers, steep climbs, long daily stages and hidden wilderness trails with local flora and fauna.
The event lists a difficulty of 6 of 6 and a technicality of 3 of 5. Temperatures on route range from 10 to 32°C. The nearest international arrival point is CPT.
Each evening participants stay at exclusive wild camps and have private tents. Evenings center on communal campfires at the campsites. Daily logistics and kit requirements are provided to entrants in a race pack delivered by email. After entry participants receive a welcome email with confirmation and key dates. There is a private Facebook group for entrant discussion and an optional pre race team call for questions and preparation.
The format is a multi day stage race with varied terrain and significant elevation and temperature changes.
