About the race
The Salomon Visegrád Trail is a 30 km trail run from the former Visegrád Roman watchtower area to the center of Szentendre, traversing demanding sections of the Visegrád Hills. The route includes about 1058 m of elevation gain and has a total time limit of 6 hours.
The event is organized as a semi self-supported race: runners must carry required kit throughout the course, manage food, fluids and minor problems between aid stations, and may receive personal assistance only at official refreshment points. Mandatory items include a switched-on mobile phone, a minimum 1 liter water reservoir or bottle, and a photo ID. Checkpoints and aid stations are located along the route, with listed refreshment points at 9.9 km (Pap-rét) and 23.2 km (Skanzen). Timekeeping is done with a checkpoint chip.
Registration is limited to 300 entrants and is handled online with bank card payment. Multiple registration windows are published with tiered fees. The race provides a race pack containing a Salomon technical shirt and other selectable items, transport to the start from Szentendre, timing, refreshment on course, free photos, and postrace services including massage, showers and warm food. Finishers receive an FNSHR medal or a fridge magnet; a DNF medal is available for non-finishers.
