Ultra Trail Gaspesia 100
The Ultra Trail Gaspesia 100 is the 12th edition of a multi-day trail event based in Percé, in the Gaspésie region of eastern Quebec. The event presents a range of trail formats that run between sea and mountains and use courses within the Percé UNESCO Global Geopark and the Bonaventure Island and Percé Rock National Park.
Ultra and long formats include:
- 165 km / 100 miles : out-and-back, 5000 m D+ climb, 33 hour cutoff
- 110 km : out-and-back, 3500 m D+ climb
- 85 km : loop, 3000 m D+ climb
- 55 km : one-way, 1700 m D+ climb
Three-day Trans-Percé stage races are offered in cumulative distances of 100 km, 75 km, 50 km, and 25 km, and include the Friday evening race on Bonaventure Island; boat transport for that race is included with registration. The 100 miles can also be run as a relay for teams of 2 to 6, with exchanges restricted to official aid stations except at La Commune.
Practical details published for participants include GPX course files, a reusable cup requirement at aid stations, drop bag service rules and limits, shuttle options to start areas, 24/7 access to main site bathrooms, and which distances receive a post-race meal.
