About the race

The Ultra Trail des Géants 2027 is an XXL trail race held as part of the Ultra Trail de l'Océan Indien season. The race starts at Stade Basse Vallée in Saint Philippe and covers a distance of 180 km with a total positive elevation gain of 9 883 m. A relay version of the same 180 km route is also scheduled.

Details published for the 2027 season place this race among multiple events taking place in early May 2027 under the UTOI organisation. The Ultra Trail des Géants is listed alongside other UTOI races and shares the same general event framework, including marked aid stations and volunteer support as part of the organisation's stated operational elements.

Relevant logistical notes for the 2027 program indicate route choices for some races may use the sentier Kala and the Chemin des Anglais via La Grande Chaloupe; this routing applies to several courses in the series. Registration status for the Ultra Trail des Géants 2027 is listed as open as of 6 May 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
