About the race
The Ultra Caballo Blanco in Urique, Mexico is a multi-distance trail event held in the Sierra Tarahumara and coordinated by True Messages together with the Municipality of Urique, with support from international volunteers known as Mas Locos. Race weekend includes competitive trail distances and a program of cultural stage events, activities, and community gatherings in the town of Urique. All race registrations include entry to the weekend cultural program.
Distances offered include:
- 100 Mile
- 50 Mile Ultra
- Marathon (42 km)
- Half Marathon (21 km) The weekend also features a separate kids race that brings hundreds of young athletes to run short courses in Urique.
Organizers provide optional all-inclusive travel and accommodation packages and assistance with local transport and lodging; package availability can be limited. Registration fees are nonrefundable, but entries may be deferred to the following year if requested before January 30. If the organizers cancel the race for safety or other unforeseen reasons, registrations will transfer to a rescheduled event. The event has a limited field and registrations may sell out.
