About the race
UB Trail Run 2026 is a trail running event at UB Forest Resort Bontoro, Karangploso, Malang, held on 21 November 2026 and organized by Universitas Brawijaya with IKA UB and UB Forest.
The event offers three race distances:
- 5K Seedling : EG ±200 m, cut-off time 3.5 hours. Aimed at introductory trail runners, walkers, and families.
- 15K Canopy : EG ±500 m, cut-off time 5 hours. Varies through agroforestry and pine forest; listed as ITRA 0 and UTMB 20K.
- 25K Emergent : EG ±1000 m, cut-off time 7 hours. Includes technical climbs inside UB Forest with views of Mount Arjuno; listed as ITRA 1 and UTMB 20K.
Participant categories include UMUM and CIVITAS/ALUMNI UB for all distances, plus MASTER (45+) for 15K and 25K. Minimum age for 15K and 25K is 17 years on race day, verified with official ID. The 5K category is open to all ages; participants under 14 must be accompanied by a parent and those aged 14–17 need a notarized parental consent letter.
The 25K category requires a prior official race certificate (UBTR 2025 12K, a 12K trail, or a 21K road half marathon). Podium prizes are awarded for Open and Master in 15K and 25K with cash prizes listed for places 1–3; the 5K has no podium prizes.
