Tywardreath Trotter
The Tywardreath Trotter is a 6.79 mile multi-terrain race held on a mix of footpaths, bridleways and quiet country lanes around Tywardreath in Cornwall. The event is based in the centre of the village and the course starts and finishes at the local pub, the New Inn. Marshals and local residents provide support along the route.
The course is hilly and includes an initial lap around the village before heading out into the surrounding countryside. The race has been held since 2006 and is now part of the Cornwall Multi-Terrain Race Series. It is organised by the Tywardreath Village Fete Committee as part of the village summer celebrations, and funds raised go to local charities.
The event sets a minimum age of 16 for participants. Spectators gather in the village to welcome runners back at the finish.
