Two Harbors Trail Alliance Trail Turkey Trot
This event takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026 at Erkki Harju Ski Trails on Fairgrounds Road in Two Harbors, Minnesota. The trailhead is the site for check-in, the start and finish, and the post-race gathering. Parking is in the large lot across from the Lake County Fairgrounds.
Distances offered
- 1K out and back; low-pressure race for youngsters
- 3K out and back; aid station at the turnaround
- 5K one loop; aid station along the loop
Runners, walkers, families, and leashed dogs are welcome. The aid station is at the main ski trail parking lot; it serves as the 3K turnaround and as a stop on the 5K loop.
Entry is donation based and proceeds support local trails. The event is held outdoors in late November; conditions can range from frosty sunshine to fresh snow. Participants are advised to dress in layers, wear shoes with good traction, and wear bright or blaze orange clothing because it is hunting season.
Post-race provisions include pie and hot drinks, a bonfire, awards for first-place finishers in the 1K, 3K, and 5K, and a raffle drawing with prizes donated by local businesses. Winners must be present to receive awards and raffle prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
