Twilight Trail Run - White River
The Twilight Trail Run is an evening trail event at the MTO Trail Centre in Swartfontein, White River, Mpumalanga. The trail network is described as professionally marked and well maintained. The event is family friendly and organized in support of Team Jabberwock.
Participants can choose between the following distances:
- 4 km
- 8 km
The event follows a Glow in the Dark theme. Participants are encouraged to wear neon or brightly coloured clothing and to bring glow sticks; a prize is offered for the best dressed participant. Because parts of the route may extend into low light, a headlamp is strongly recommended for safety and comfort.
Dogs are allowed on the course but must remain on a leash at all times. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase, including boerewors rolls.
The event also serves to raise funds for Team Jabberwock, who earned a place at the Adventure Racing World Championships in Corsica after winning the African Adventure Racing Championships at Expedition Africa 2026. While the team’s race entry is covered, the event aims to help with flights, transport, equipment logistics, and other travel expenses through donations and support.
