Tuscaloosa Gauntlet
The Tuscaloosa Gauntlet is a military style obstacle course event held April 9-10, 2027 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The main event takes place on Saturday, April 10, 2027, with a kids race, family fest, and packet pick up on Friday, April 9, 2027. The race is organized by the Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA), Visit Tuscaloosa, and the Alabama Marines Foundation.
The main course is approximately 5 mile and includes more than 20 obstacles, featuring a Marine regulation O Course. The event offers competitive, open, and team heats, along with a separate youth course for children. Organizers note the course layout will differ from the previous year and will include new obstacle additions.

All race proceeds benefit the Alabama Marines Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit that supports Alabama veterans and related initiatives. Since 2012 it has provided over $375,000 in support, including emergency grants, endowed scholarships for children of veterans, and efforts to establish a VA Clinic on the University of Alabama campus. Additional supported activities include financial support to wounded warriors, aid to student veteran organizations, and commissioning bronze memorial busts for Alabama service members killed in action.
