Turkey Trot 5k - Corydon
This event is a chip timed 5k run/walk held at Turtle Run Winery in Corydon, Indiana. The course is a two-loop route that runs along the perimeter of the vineyards and includes several hilly sections through the vines. The route starts and finishes at the winery and is described as memorable rather than a personal record course.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible portable wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib, results posted online, and a pour of wine at the finish. Packet pickup is race day only. The event offers age group awards, with custom awards for the top three finishers in each ten-year age category from 19 and under up to 80 and over; awards are available only on the day of the event and winners should pick them up at the registration area after results are posted.
The local charity partner is Special Olympics Indiana Harrison County. Walking is allowed. Minors may participate with a discounted registration; minors do not receive a wine glass or a poured glass of wine. Strollers are permitted but not recommended because of uneven ground.
