Turkey Shuffle - Austin
The Turkey Shuffle takes place at SE Metro Park in Del Valle, Texas. The event offers multiple running options, a costume contest with prizes, on-course aid stations, and finish-line refreshments.
Distances offered include:
- Kids Dash: about 50 meters, for children 10 and under.
- 1 Mile: one-mile run with a shirt and medal.
- 5K: 3.11 miles, chip timed with overall trophies and age group awards.
- 10K: 6.22 miles, chip timed with overall trophies and age group awards.
- Volunteer then Run 5K: volunteer before the race and then run the 5K; includes chip timing and race items.
- Virtual Run: 6.22 miles for remote participation.
The 5K and 10K feature standard age-group awards, first overall trophies for male and female finishers, and recognition for masters categories. All finishers of every distance receive a medal and shirt. A costume contest awards a "Biggest Turkey" trophy and a prize pack that includes a certificate for two future race entries, a $25 HEB gift card, and a Bigfoot Running Company swag pack.
Volunteer roles include water station, course monitor, finish-line helper, packet pickup, lead bike, mascot, and sweeper. Volunteers may receive race shirts, souvenir medals, VIP access, and options for a future free race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card.
