True Grit Blackwood River : Linga Longa Estate, WA
True Grit at Linga Longa Estate is a military-inspired obstacle course event set in the Blackwood River landscape. The event offers two core course lengths and an Elite timed category, each including multiple natural-terrain obstacles designed for completion at a basic fitness level.
Distances
- 10km Elite - timed competitive wave, podium prizes for top three male and female, 16+ years
- 10km - classic True Grit course, 16+ years
- 5km - shorter course with 15+ obstacles, 12+ years
Obstacles are location-specific and include carries, rope and traverse elements, walls, pontoon bridges, sandbag and tyre carries, climbs and cargo nets. Participants receive a finisher t-shirt, electrolyte drink, optional finisher beer and on-site water and medical access.
Facilities and logistics include on-site camping options with toilets and showers, food for purchase, and paid parking. Bag drop is available for a gold coin donation. The event recommends long pants or leggings, long socks, and running or hiking shoes; carrying a hydration pack is suggested. There is typically at least one water station around the halfway mark of the course. Team entries are supported with large-team discounts and team management options.
