Trail Running in the Börzsöny Mountains

The Triton Trail is a mountain running event held in the Börzsöny region. The competition features a variety of distances and formats, ranging from short uphill climbs to long-distance ultramarathons and timed vertical challenges. The event takes place over two days, with activities distributed across a Saturday and Sunday in June.

Participants can choose from several individual trail distances and team options:

  • CSAKFEL: A short uphill race covering 2.25 km with 329 m of elevation gain.
  • Vertical24H: Timed endurance challenges available in 6-hour and 12-hour formats.
  • 11K Individual: A course of 10.9 km featuring 368 m of elevation.
  • 18K Individual: A route spanning 18.3 km with 862 m of elevation gain.
  • 23K Individual: A distance of 22.8 km with 1022 m of elevation.
  • 45K Individual: A marathon-plus distance of 44.7 km with 2014 m of elevation.
  • 63K Individual: An ultramarathon covering 62.3 km with 2876 m of elevation gain.
  • Triton Trail Trio: A relay or team option covering a total of 62.3 km and 2876 m of elevation.

The race routes are designed around the natural geography of the Börzsöny mountains, including areas shaped by ancient volcanic activity.
