Trick or Trot 2026
A Halloween themed running event held in Waterloo, Ontario, offering a timed race and a short fun run. The 2026 edition includes an expected out-and-back course for the 5 km distance. Entrants in the main race categories receive a finisher medal.
The event program lists bib pickup before the races, a pre-race costume contest at the start line, and separate runs for the 200 m and the 5 km. Costumes are encouraged for the contest but are not required to participate in race events.
Registration information for 2026 shows distinct pricing periods and fees that include mandatory charges. A "Future Runner" registration exists for stroller occupants; this option is free, does not include a t-shirt or medal, and stroller passengers must be accompanied by a participant registered in a different sub-event.
Organizers state that medals are provided to all participants and note that the previous year's medal was glow-in-the-dark; the 2026 design was scheduled for release in summer 2026.
