Trick or Trail: A Costumed 5K Trail Run
The Trick or Trail 5K is a costumed trail run held on October 31, 2026, at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm, 55 Skinner Mill Road, Wells, Maine. The event is the inaugural running of this race on the Reserve property, which includes over 2,200 acres of conserved meadows, woods, wetlands, and a wild beach.
The race is run on trails and will be timed. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Net proceeds from the event will support the Reserve’s coastal research, education, and stewardship programs.
Basic race services noted by the organizer include water stations at the halfway point and at the finish, and medals awarded for overall top finishers, best in age group, and best costume. A T-shirt is included with registration for those who register by October 1, 2026. Bibs may be picked up the day before or the morning of the event at the Visitor Center.
