Trick or Trail 12K - Ridgway
The event on 10/18/2026 is a fundraiser held at the Laurel Mill Ski trail area in Ridgway, PA. All proceeds go to the Allegheny Hike, Bike and Ski association to maintain the Laurel Mill Ski area and build additional trails. The location is reached from Ridgway by traveling west on Main Street to Laurel Mill Road, then continuing 3.5 miles to the Laurel trailhead and parking area (GPS coordinates provided by the organizer).
Distances offered:
- 12K trail race, two loops of the 6K course
- 6K trail race, single loop with approximately 425 feet elevation gain
- 2-mile spooky walk, noncompetitive
The course is a rolling forest trail with surfaces of grass, ferns, rocks, dirt, and mud, and is described as not highly technical. The route follows last year’s course with a slight re-route up the hill that makes it a bit shorter. The races are chip timed. Registration details include a fee of $35, registration opening 7/24 and closing 10/9, and a tech race shirt for registrations guaranteed by the organizer’s deadline. Registration benefits include a finisher award for all finishers, first overall male and female awards per distance, a door prize drawing and post-event food; winners must be present to claim door prizes. No dogs are permitted on the course. Parking is limited so carpooling is recommended. Registered children 12 and under receive a free treat bag. Women’s shirt sizes are available.
