Trailblazer Trot 5K and The Monster Mile
This event is a community running morning at Culpeper County High School, 14240 Achievement Drive, Culpeper, VA 22701. It features two separate events: a one-mile fun run/walk called The Monster Mile and a 5K called the Trailblazer Trot. Course maps are provided, and the 5K route uses color coding for each mile: Blue = Mile 1, White = Mile 2, Yellow = Mile 3. Volunteers will be positioned at key locations along the course.
Registration opens August 12, 2026, and closes October 17, 2026. The listed registration fees are $15.00 for The Monster Mile and $25.00 for the Trailblazer Trot 5K. The 5K course is provided by the CCHS cross country team. Costumes are encouraged for participants. Awards are presented following the 5K.
Proceeds from the Trailblazer Trot support scholarships for students at the Culpeper Technical Education Center (CTEC), including scholarships for college, trade school, and career training. The event accommodates running and walking and is described as a community-focused morning combining sport, costumes, and local support for CTEC students.
