Trail and Ale 2026
Trail and Ale 2026 takes place on September 19, 2026, at the Howard Watson Trail and Blackwell Trails entrance on Michigan Avenue in Sarnia, Ontario. The event is offered as a live trail run and walk and as a virtual option that can be completed between September 1 and September 18, 2026.
The live route heads north on the Howard Watson Trail from Michigan Avenue and dips into Blackwell Trails. The live event is chip timed; virtual participants may submit finish times but chip timing is provided for the live event only.
Distances offered include:
- 5K Run or Walk
- 10K Run
- 15K Run
Kids 14 and under can participate in the 5K Run or 5K Walk for free when accompanied by a registered adult. Prizes are awarded for top fundraisers and best finish times in Men, Women and Kids categories for runners and walkers.
The event raises funds for Rayjon Share Care to support projects in Haiti and the Dominican Republic in education, health care and the empowerment of women. To support local partners, registrants aged 19 and over receive one can of local craft beer and the first 200 eligible registrants receive a custom beer mug. Race kits and beer are available for pickup at Refined Fool in Sarnia; an option to collect kits on the morning of the event is also provided. An after party is held at SPORTS behind Refined Fool.
