Tobermory Trail Race - Run the Edge
The Tobermory Trail Race Weekend is a multi-distance trail event held at Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five Marine National Park on September 12 and 13, 2026. This edition marks the 10th anniversary of the weekend format.
Races offered include:
- 42 km marathon
- 21 km half marathon
- 7 km run
- 5 km Flowerpot Island run
- 1 km kids run
Saturday's 7 km, 21 km and 42 km courses follow an extraordinary section of the Bruce Trail running north into Tobermory. The 7 km and 21 km entries include a bus ride to their start locations. The 1 km kids race starts and finishes at the main finish line. Sunday’s Flowerpot Island 5 km includes a boat tour to and from the island and a post-run breakfast; the spectator 5 km option also includes a boat ride.
Entry fees vary by event and registration period, with listed early, regular and late prices for each distance. The event supports the Tobermory Primary Place Child Care Centre; in 2025 the event raised $13,454.23 and total funds raised since 2016 amount to $93,629.23.
Organizers acknowledge that the events take place on the traditional land of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation and express thanks for local stewardship of the area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
