Three Sisters Ultra Festival
The Three Sisters Ultra Festival is a timed trail event in the Maryville College Woods with multiple duration options and team relays. It includes day and night choices for the 6 hour and 12 hour events and a separate relay category for teams.
- 24 hour solo option
- 12 hour day and night options
- 6 hour day and night options
- Relays for teams
The course is a 2.2 mile loop that starts and ends at the McArthur Pavilion. Each loop has roughly 120 feet of elevation gain. Aid is available every loop at the pavilion area, and participants may set up a personal aid area under the pavilion or on the surrounding lawn. Access to aid station amenities is limited to runners and registered pacers; pacers pick up a bib at packet pickup and must wear it while pacing.
Chip timing is used for lap counting. Bibs should be worn on the front of the body and not folded to ensure reliable chip reads.
Loop-to-distance references are provided by the event: 12 loops equals a marathon, 15 loops equals 50K, 29 loops equals 100K, 46 loops equals 100 miles, and 56 loops equals the course record distance of 121.875 miles (2021).
Packet pickup is at McArthur Pavilion the evening before and on race morning. Registrations made after May 22 are not guaranteed a t shirt or other swag. The festival also includes live music and other on site activities such as disc golf. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
