Thistlethwaite Haunted Wine Run 5K - Jefferson, PA
The event is a chip timed 5K run/walk held at Thistlethwaite Vineyards in Jefferson, Pennsylvania on October 3, 2026. Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib with chip timing, results posted online, and a pour of wine.
The course is a two-loop layout that runs through the vineyards. It is described as mostly cross country style and includes grass, dirt, and uneven areas; the route is scenic but may not be suitable for personal best attempts. Race day conditions may require a route change.
Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each ten-year category, with categories from 19 and under through 80 and over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards. Age group awards are available for pickup on the day of the event and will not be shipped after the event.
The event supports the Humane Society of Greene County, PA, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that cares for homeless and abused animals and provides education on proper animal care. The organization temperament-tests dogs and offers a return policy for adopters who are unsatisfied.
Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but does not include a wine glass or a pour of wine. Walking is allowed. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers can participate free and do not need to register.
