The Woods 2027
The Woods 2027 is an endurance running event held in Tehidy Woods, just off the B3301 north coast road in Cornwall. The course is a 4 mile loop through the woods. Participants choose a timed option and complete as many laps as possible within their time slot; the competitor with the maximum number of laps for each duration wins.
Available timed options:
- Rowan - 3 hours
- Ash - 6 hours
- Beech - 9 hours
- Oak - 12 hours
New ARC guidelines require runners to be aged 20 or over to enter ultras. Crew are permitted, but support runners are not allowed on the course. Kit-list coats can be hired on request.
Entries, refunds and deferrals follow the organiser's stated policy: refunds are available up to four weeks before the event, and entries may be deferred up to two weeks before the event; deferrals are not refundable at the subsequent race. The event operates under ARC Permit Number ARC/2.
The organiser is Bys Vyken Events. Running in road, trail or coastal events carries inherent risks; participants are expected to be medically able, trained and properly equipped. If an Amber or Red weather warning is issued by The Met Office the race cannot go ahead; organisers may reschedule or, if rescheduling is not possible, hold the run virtually.
